This year, the 39th edition of the European Heritage Days will take place on September 17 and 18, 2022. The JEP consist in opening to the public places which are usually not very accessible. During two days, visitors can discover for free or at a preferential rate places of power, national emblematic monuments, castles, rural heritage, historic gardens, religious buildings or industrial sites for example. It was in 1984 that the Minister of Culture at the time, Jack Lang decided to launch this event for heritage.
The theme chosen for this 2022 edition is sustainable heritage. To highlight this heritage in a new light, a whole range of activities are organized: guided tours, demonstrations of know-how, concerts and musical walks, theatrical performances and themed tours.
