From May 16 to June 5, 2022, 2 Avenue Gordon Bennett, 75016 Paris

The Roland Garros tournament, also known as the French Open, is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments. It has been held every year since 1925 in the Roland Garros stadium in Paris. The tournament takes place on twenty clay courts, the main one being the Philippe-Chatrier court.

For this 2022 edition, the eyes will be turned to two Spaniards: Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. Rafael Nadal, needs no introduction. He proved again at the Australian Open that he is truly one of the best tennis players of all time. But in front of him, the young generation is growing up. We can obviously talk about Tsitsipas, Zverev, Medvedev... but also Carlos Alcaraz who became a celebrity this year. By beating Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals and Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, he won the title of the Masters 1000 in Madrid against Alexander Zverev and is positioned as one of the contenders for the next Roland Garros.

This Roland Garros 2022 has already its official planning: the qualifications will start on May 16, then the main draw matches will start on Sunday, May 22. The date of the men's final, which traditionally closes the fortnight, has been set for Sunday 5 June 2022.

For this new edition, the field of wheelchair tennis and quad biking, very popular with the general public, offers spectacular and exciting matches every year. On the occasion of the 2022 edition, the tables and the programming of these events will be modified to offer a better visibility to all participants.

In parallel to the numerous matches, don't miss the triple photo exhibition "Roland Garros Stadium: Perpetual Movement" from May 17 to June 20!

3 themes will be highlighted: archive photos, the work of photojournalist Edouard Elias and the photo project of Romain Meffre and Yves Marchand.
The exhibition will be held in three different places: May 17 to 21 at the Polka gallery (Cour de Venise, 12 Rue Saint-Gilles, 75003 Paris), from May 18 to June 5 at the Roland-Garros Stadium but also from May 21 to June 20 on the gates of the Saint-Jacques Tower in the fourth arrondissement thanks to the support of the Paris City Council.
