Roland-Garros 2023

The Roland-Garros tournament, also known as the French Open, is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments. It has been held every year since 1925 in the Roland Garros Stadium in Paris. The tournament takes place on twenty clay courts, the main one being the Philippe-Chatrier court.

This Roland Garros 2023 has already its official planning: the qualifications will begin from 22 to 26 May, then the main draw matches will begin on Sunday, April 22. The date of the men's final, which traditionally closes the fortnight, has been set for Sunday 11 June 2023.

For this 2023 edition, the suspense is at its peak.  Like every year, the public is waiting for its great champion Mr. Rafael Nadal who today needs no introduction. He is the holder of the greatest number of titles at Roland Garros with 14 victories. Following an injury, an absence of six to eight weeks is evoked, that is to say until the end of March, nothing indicates for the moment that he will not be able to participate in the second Grand Slam of the season.

In women's tennis, Chris Evert has the record with seven victories at Porte d'Auteuil. But the title holder is the boss Swiatek, who continues to outperform the competition and at the last tournament won her second Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.

Undefeated for 34 matches before the final and number one in the world, Iga Swiatek confirmed that she is indeed the boss of the WTA circuit.
