Arrivée du Tours de France 2023 Paris

It's almost the end of the Tour de France

Sunday, July 23, 2023 on the Avenue des Champs Elysées

The arrival of the Tour de France 2023 promises to be a major event in the world of cycling and sport in general. The Tour de France is one of the world's biggest cycling competitions, with internationally renowned riders covering hundreds of kilometers across France.

It is a men's stage race that crosses France and occasionally extends into neighboring countries. It was first held in 1931 to boost sales of the newspaper L'Auto, sponsored by Henri Desgrange and Géo Lefèvre.

The Tour de France, Italy and Spain are the three main circuits. The Tour de France is the oldest and generally considered the most prestigious of the three. Traditionally, the races take place mainly in July. The route changes every year, but the format is the same, with at least two time trials, passing through the Pyrenees and the Alps, and finishing on the Champs Elysées in Paris.

It will be 24 days, on July 24, since the start of the Tour de France. The route, made up of 21 stages, each more difficult than the last, will conclude with its 21st event, a 116 km flat race. It begins at the Paris la Défense Arena and ends, as it does every year, on the Champs Elysées.

The Tour de France is not only a sporting event, but also a showcase for France and its regions. Each stage offers a unique opportunity to discover France's beauty, varied landscapes and local gastronomy. Stage towns and villages also have the chance to showcase their tourist attractions and cultural heritage to visitors from all over the world.

However, the arrival of the Tour de France 2023 will also be a logistical and safety challenge for the organizers. Strict measures will have to be put in place to ensure the safety of riders, spectators and local residents.

But before that, in the days leading up to the Tour's arrival, Fan parks will be set up to welcome the race's biggest fans. If you're interested, visit the official event website to find out all about the program.
